/recieved this bag that was supposed to be medium sized and it is quite small. It did not have any closure and one you put items in it the top of the bag does not fold over. For the amount of money spent on this bag it was hugely disappointing and not something that can be used everyday.

A Brief History of Saraswati's Lotus

Saraswati's Lotus came about as my love for nature along with spirituality.

I would like to humbly introduce you to Saraswati (SUH-RUH-SWAH-THEE) - the goddess of wisdom, arts, music, knowledge, etc. I was told she was to whom I was to pray to in order to work to gain more of what she represented. As a woman & human this was important to me, women are important & I was lucky enough to be born to wise parents. I also chose the name of this shop because what I have created here for you is inspired by this wonderful goddess. Lotus because it is a metaphor for a goddess' dwellings (where most deities are shown to reside in photos), and the metaphorical location of this dainty shop. She is normally playing the sitar in almost every one of her artist renditions, a testament to my affiliation to the arts & wisdom & enlightenment. Your purchase here is surely a reflection of that <3

After picking up tricks of the wonderful trade, I decided to make a couple of general accessories and leather items some of which you see on display here. I am looking to add more items as soon as I find if others appreciate my work as much as I did of others when I was a young girl exposed to many female deities. There is a lot of history and heart put into each of my items. I hope you can see this and enjoy it, too!

I have always admired Marilyn Monroe (no affiliation to me/my listings), her carefree attitude, style, and courage. Very few of her struggles mirrored that of my own, especially that of a woman in what seems to be man's world. I channel into that admiration and this shop is its offspring. Which is originally why the page was called Monroe Gifts.
